Atomic F1 Season 4 Concorde Agreement
Updated 15/4/2102.
This document specifies the rules, restrictions and operations of the
AtomicF1 competition as developed in collaboration with the FIA
representative, Ben Mansill, and the constructors and drivers competing in the
competition.
By participating in the Atomic F1 Season 4 competition, all participants
have agreed to the terms of competition laid out within this document.
1. The Atomic F1 championship will award points for drivers and teams in
accordance with the FIA F1 rules.
1.1 Points will be awarded for the top 10 drivers to finish the race. First
place will be awarded 25 points, second place 18 points, third place 15 points,
fourth place 12 points, fifth place 10 points, sixth place 8 points, seventh
place 6 points, eight place 4 points, ninth place 2 points, tenth place 1
point.
1.2 Drivers not finishing the race shall not be eligible for points. If only
4 drivers are classified as running at the end of the race, only those four
drivers shall receive points.
1.3 The game engine shall determine who has and has not finished the race, by
denoting non finishers with DNF.
2. Penalties will be issued by the game engine in accordance with the FIA
rules.
3. Races are held on every Sunday at 20:00 Sydney time. It is the
responsibility of each competitor to allow for any timezone differences
including seasonal shifts such as caused by daylight savings.
4. Race start times and dates are published well in advance and it is the
responsibility of each competitor to know when the race is being held. The
current Atomic F1 thread at www.atomicmpc.com.au in the Gaming forum lists
all upcoming races on the home page.
4.1 There shall be a minimal grace period before races start. This period is
generally accepted to be 5 minutes after the official race start time. The
race may start without registered competitors at this point. Competitors
should log in prior to the listed race start time for systems checks and to
ensure their entry into the race event.
5. It is expected that all drivers participate in a 'gentlemanly' spirit. In
accordance with the F1 FIA rules 'Racing room' shall be given.
5.1 Any malicious or deliberate acts of aggression where there is clear intent
to make contact with another car, whether or not this result in actual car
contact on the track, will result in an instant ban from the series.
Video evidence must be provided. Final determination is up to the
current FIA executive.
5.2 Drivers shall not move off their line in the braking zone.
5.3 It is advised that all drivers losing large amounts of time per lap to an
approaching driver, whether it be a fight for position or they are being
lapped, should move aside and voice their intentions. This will reduce the
risk of ruining someone else's race who is clearly faster than you and probably
also ruining your own race.
6. There is one race per week, with some exceptions for some public holidays.
The full calendar can be seen in the OP of the current thread on the Atomic forums.
6.1 Races are typically 50% distance. 100% distance specials may be used for
certain events. This will be advertised in advance.
6.2 Qualifying will continue if a player/s drops. The affected player/s will be
re-invited to the session-in-progress. According to game rules, affected players
may not continue qualifying and must accept the grid position determined by the game.
6.3 Race sessions will not be restarted after the race session has commenced.
After this point, any participant suffering a connection loss is unable to join the race.
7. Races are run on the PC platform of F1 2011
8. Ben Mansill (aka Flouncy) is the current FIA executive and reserves the right
to adjudicate over race incidents. All questions should be directed to him
on the Atomic forums. Generally though, this league does not expect to regularly
engage in such post-race analysis and only exceptional incidents will be considered.
